Hiking and Biking
For those who love hiking or biking there are more than plenty of trails around. We guarantee that you won’t easily forget the waterfalls, canyons, gorges and all around beauty of the surrounding nature. Mountaineers will probably love the hike to Krnska Lakes, the highest Slovenian mountain lakes, which is just a short drive from Bovec.
Skiing
In the winter, skiing enthusiasts can ski on Kanin, the highest Slovenian ski resort with around 30 km of slopes in connection with the Italian Sella Nevea.

On the other hand, those who are passionate about history will find plenty of excitement discovering more about the Isonzo Front and its remains, one of the most important war fronts in the World War I and the biggest military combat on a mountain terrain in the modern history.
